Often forgotten, even by Americans, the Florida Panhandle or North West Florida, is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area has long been the favourite vacation spot for Americans from the South East of the USA and for winter visitors from the northern US states. However the area is not just a tourism area, it benefits from a strong economy based on hi-tech, aviation, electronics and biotech industries. The counties of North West Florida have some of the lowest unemployment rates in the USA. The US Air Force will be developing new programmes at nearby Eglin Air Base which will result in increase demand for property and can only benefit the already high potential for investment purchases.
